Which nvme -> pci-e adapter is faster?

Does it make sense to buy a pci-e x16 adapter for an NVMe drive, or pci-e x4 is enough

In both adapters, only 4 lines are divorced.
It's just that the first one holds its weight due to the body strap, and the second one, due to the connector

If the drive is running at x4 speed, then x4 is enough. From x16, the performance gain will be zero percent.
