Is it possible to install ssd drives in an old hp dl180 g6?

There is an old server and I want to breathe life into it with new ssd disks. Does anyone have such experience?
Will HP Smart Array P410i work with non HP ssd drives? If not. Is it possible to install a RAID controller from another manufacturer and get the desired result?

So we bought an SSD DC S4500 900Gb 2pcs, we decided if it doesn’t work, we will go to another server. Inserted into the server surprisingly earned. Were united in RAID1 for MSSQL. A month has passed, the flight is normal.
