What will happen after Sata? PCI-E drives?
Here I wondered what would happen after Sata, since everyone says that this standard of connectors for connecting drives "rested" against the ceiling of its speed.
I have an idea that there will be something like PCI-4 which is used by SSD PCI-E drives
Like Plextor M6e Black Edition, or OCZ RevoDrive 350 which has PCI-E 8.
Any news on this?
So far, I have not found anything new except for PCI-E drives.
Thanks in advance.

they have been releasing disks with a pci-e connection for a long time,
you should not expect something new.
besides, the same sas has a speed twice that of sat 3, as far as I remember
