Powerbank - A ticking time bomb?

Good evening. There are a lot of videos on the Internet of how lithium-ion batteries explode, of course, having seen enough of such videos, now I look at my xiaomi v2 powerbank with apprehension with apprehension. There are 20 thousand containers, not such a small bomb. The crux of the matter is how to determine the health of the battery? Loss of capacity? And why do batteries swell or lose their shape? I see a slight swelling in the center of the case, a couple of 1-2mm, xs it was like that or I'm paranoid)) I've been charging for a long time with a regular 2A charge, I refused QC. I can’t refuse to use the power bank, it’s convenient. What kind of protective mechanisms should be present?) Thanks in advance for the answers.

Can be checked with a tester. if you disassemble the powerbank. there is 20 thousand ma at 3.7 volts, that is, at 5 volts, almost 15 thousand without taking into account efficiency.

If there is swelling, it is better to refuse. Your power bank has a metal case, probably? Even if he is swollen, then everything is sad.
