Why is the charging indicator on a macbook pro retina not on?

Charging, but the indicator (red, green) does not light up. The problem started after the move. The charger was lying in the bags, it may have been hit or pinched. Macbook is almost new under warranty. What could be the problem? Another feeling is that the charging heats up very much, i.e. not just pull the cable out of the macbook connector, it seems to burn.

you most likely have a little broken wiring from charging, this is a problem of charging from macbooks)
