First charge NiMH 48 hours?

Hey! Tell me, please, on the website of the manufacturer of the trimmer it is written that it is recommended to make it "the first charge is 3 times longer than usual."
The box says - charge 16 hours (NiMH). Does it take 48 hours to charge for the first time? O_o Is this a bug?

Still, a long first charge makes sense. It turned out that other manufacturers also recommend charging the first time, mostly 2 times longer. I charged mine for 32 hours - the trimmer was absolutely cold.

The time depends on the charging current. A current of 10 mA can be charged for a week.
In general, nickel does not care how it is charged by 100%, everything will go into heat, nothing will happen to it from overcharging
