Can I leave my laptop plugged in for a long time after shutdown/sleep?

Welcome all!

The manuals for laptops indicate the following procedure for connecting to AC power: first the load (laptop) is connected, and only then the charger plug can be plugged into the outlet. Google articles specifically emphasize that the charger cannot be connected to the network without load. The question is: when I turn off the laptop and leave the plug in the socket for a long time, or when I put the laptop into sleep mode, does this mean that the charger is working without load? In the inactive state, a rhythmic squeak is heard, someone writes that this is acceptable, someone advises changing the charger. Or can you leave the laptop turned off / in hibernation for as long as you like without pulling the plug out of the socket?

Of course, I do not read the instructions, but this is IMHO nonsense. For 15 years, neither I nor my friends have been guided by such "leadership" - and everyone is alive. If the laptop is from a well-known manufacturer, and the charger is also (or at least more expensive than 5 bucks), then you can not worry about it. If you bought the charger for a couple of bucks, then throw it out the window.

Hammer the laptop is changed every 3 years. Although it is better to change every 2 years. This correlates well with ~600 charge cycles.
In the general case, after a battery drawdown, you will understand what needs to be changed, or you will draw out + 15% if you follow this ritual every day.
In general, do not pray for iron, it costs a penny in a long field.

The laptop will still turn into a brick. It's just that you will spend more time so that it lives longer, thereby exchanging your time -\u003e for the lifetime of the laptop.

Of course you can. Moreover, many laptop manufacturers have software for selecting modes
, which in some cases allows you to save battery life longer .
