In general, the situation is this: I installed on my card on a laptop (AMD Radeon HD8750M) a driver from the AMD main page without the mobility prefix. Could there be any fatal consequences of my oversight or is the mobility driver also compatible with laptop graphics cards?

I don’t know how it is now, but on one of the laptops, I still got problems when I installed the desktop ones. Sometimes toys flew out, etc. I got the impression that the drivers control the card as a desktop one and it was overheating. But in your case, it's not a fact that there will be a problem. In general, I would appreciate the benefits of desktop drivers.
