Licensing concerns. HP laptop. Upgrading to Windows 8 Pro

Hello.

For development under Windows Phone 8 I'm going to take a new laptop: HP Sleekbook 15

As far as I understand, in order to start the emulator, you need to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro. And here the question arises.

I am currently the owner of another earlier HP model that has two problems when switching to another axis:

  1. Loss of laptop warranty (license agreement when turned on and message from support about a year ago).
  2. It starts terribly buggy (many problems with drivers in case of eight + overheating in any cases)

Don't tell me:
  1. Has the situation changed with license restrictions on OS upgrades and loss of warranty?
  2. Has the situation with overheating and firewood changed when upgrading to a higher axis (even when switching to Windows 7 Professional from Basic, my current laptop overheats)?
  3. Contacts of HP support, to whom you can ask questions before buying (found only a phone for consultation on large-format printers)?

The laptop warranty is OS independent.
They tried to deceive you, and, apparently, successfully.

Dear, you are overthinking. I bought myself an Asus N56VZ updated Windows to 8 Pro (x64) for 469 rubles. Drivers from 7k did not fit in many ways - I downloaded them from the Asus offsite.
On the HP offsite - there is firewood for your beech - h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=ru&cc=ru&dlc=ru&sw_lang=&product=5311065
As for phones, they are also on the HP website in the "contacts" section ".

I do not see a connection with the upgrade to win8 and "overheating". Win8 is objectively less than seven and works much better on old hardware, and most firewood either fits from 7 or is on the manufacturer's website
