Reserved by hardware 1.7 GB, how to fix?
The laptop began to slow down, but somehow it did not betray the value. To be honest, if it weren't for Visual Studio, I wouldn't have noticed, because I haven't loaded a particularly resource-intensive laptop for a long time. Since I'm learning C # and trying to learn mobile development, I decided to run the application in an emulator, which gave me this kind of error:
God bless him if it had no effect on performance. BUT lately it has become too noticeable, especially in the situation with the emulator. Help to understand, please.
PS I have Win 8.1

What's a laptop?
It looks like the video card eats up so much, try setting it up in the BIOS.
4 will not solve.
I have virtual machines on a machine with 8 memory sometimes do not start when Chrome / Firefox is running, and a hundred other tabs in IE can also give the same effect
the other day I bought an Acer-v5-122p-6145 laptop for three days and everything seemed to be top type, but then the brakes became more noticeable even from several open pages in the browser. in fact, only 1.4 of these 4 remain !!!... what is this? another marketing ploy or tricks of Windows 8? I understand that the integrated graphics, but 2.6 gigabytes for video memory is some kind of prohibitive value. and there are no levers to limit gluttony (...
I had a similar issue. Only 16 gigs of RAM, and half of the hardware is reserved - 8 gigs. This happened after cleaning the computer from dust and replacing the thermal paste. It helped to disassemble again and clean the contacts of the processor and the socket. Turns out I put some thermal paste in there. Now everything is fine, all 16 gigs of RAM are free
If you have exactly half of the RAM reserved, pay attention to the processor and its contacts
