How to speed up the creation of a bootable flash drive on macbook pro?

I restore the dmg-image of the OS to a USB flash drive (USB 2.0) through the disk utility. He keeps him for some unrealistic time. 1GB is processed in 8 hours. it will take two days to upload a 6GB image! How to speed up the process?

Tried TransMac, same story. Flash drive 16GB. By the speed of reading the record, I would not say that it is slow. Ordinary average stats
