How to merge flat and delta VMware snapshot files?

0. The virtual machine on ESX 4.1 does not start, hangs at 95%
1. This virtual machine has a snapshot and huge delta files. We decide to delete the snapshot.
2. When deleting snapshots, everything hung up, the host was rebooted
3. Nothing is displayed in the snapshot manager anymore
4. Delta files remained on the server, VMDK files were already mounted to another virtual virtual machine and launched.
Is it really possible to extract data from the latest version of the file system?

I'm not sure for sure, but I would try to do "Remove from Inventory" and again from the vmx file "Add to Inventory", assuming that if the snapshot files are intact, then vsphere will pull them up itself.
If the machine does not start, reaching 95%, then it is advised to do on the host
1) /etc/init.d/mgmt-vmware restart
2) /etc/init.d/vmware-vpxa restart
3) /etc/init.d/ mgmt-vmware restart
