How to set up a network for a virtual machine so that it works without a host connection to the network?

Hello colleagues! Question about configuring the guest OS. Air/OS Sierra/Parallels 13 Host

Guest 1 Linux UBUNTU 16.04 Guest 2 Windows 10

  • With the host's network connection connected, guests have access to the outside through the host's connection. Internet is required if available.
  • When there is no host connection (adapters are disconnected or not connected to the network, I often work on the road), guests see each other and the host on the network

It is not necessary to describe in detail, give a direction where to dig. And thanks for the turnkey recipe.

Sincerely.

Hmm, 1. raise the proxy and dhcp server on the host.
2. DHCP and NAT.
3. Create a connection with an alternative configuration to the internal subnet.
