Error when writing linux to a USB flash drive, what should I do?

Hello, I wanted to install linux kali on a USB flash drive. Used VMware workstation. I have Win8.1, old hp pavilion g6 laptop. Everything starts, when installing in graphical or text mode, an error occurs:

The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. Power off or reset the virtual machine.
