How to choose the right cooler for an overclocked processor?
Hello. Unexpectedly, there was a need to overclock the processor. (Because I saw how well he runs at high frequencies and now it hurts to sit on stock). Brief background: the processor is an old (very) FX -8320E, 3.2 stock frequencies, and 4 allegedly in turbo boost (in fact, I have never seen such frequencies). Through the BIOS, automatic frequency control was disabled, frequencies were set to 4.6, and the lowest possible voltage for starting (~ 1.3xxx) was selected. Actually, it worked, but in idle time it was 50 Celsius, and under stress in less than a minute it quickly reached 90 and I stopped the test, but I managed to feel the difference in the sensations from work.
Actually, the question is: will a normal cooler help to work at + - such a frequency with a safe temperature, and if so, what power is the cooler needed (how to calculate this value)?
