How do you organize your software, packages, libraries?

Good day.
Each developer is overgrown with hundreds of libraries, tools, softins, packages, repositories and other necessary heresy, the number of which increases dramatically from year to year. Something seems promising and is bookmarked, something has been used and is bookmarked, something is used and bookmarked.
It's even worse with npm and its packages, because there are hundreds of them and they are all needed. I caught myself just copying package.json from previous projects, because there is nowhere else to see what the configuration was.
Question: how do you organize and where do you store everything you need to work? Packages, software, libraries, etc.? Bookmarks in the browser are inconvenient, bookmarks on sites too (because there can be several sites, git, npm, packagist, something else). Maybe there is some kind of service or software?
