In your experience, will changing jobs help with burnout?

I work as a programmer. I think that it burned out, because. in stock - indifference to the product (final result and discussion of problems), lack of interest in programming, work through force, hardly go to work, mental decline (I can’t program a simple algorithm, like a line reversal).
It would seem that change jobs and everything will be fine. But, because I’m stupid on simple things, I forget that I once knew, it’s difficult to pass a technical interview (there were attempts). And most importantly - I'm afraid that changing jobs will not change anything - the desire to program will not return.
About the product.
There are no new technologies, developments, new challenges. Legacy code 2 weeks old, i.e. shitting here and now. For 2 years I can’t enter a single new keyword in my resume.
I went on vacation and it didn't help. I do a little exercise.
Who had something like this? And how did you get out? Did the job change help?

Work for a month at a construction site, you will quickly come to your senses.
At one time, everything was steamed up. I decided to earn some money physically on the Sabbath, well, it’s n..y
For a week of work from start to finish, I would give everything to return to the previous

My personal home projects help me personally. I feel the technologies and languages that I want and it helps me from burnout.
When everything gets boring in general, I quit and don’t work for half a year or a year, but ride around different countries until I get bored.

My article - https://ebanoe.it/2019/07/24/burnout-3/
more on the topic https://ebanoe.it/2019/06/04/burnout/
there are a lot of comments ala "matinee in kindergarten" , but the essence in many becomes clear:

In general, I conclude that intellectual work does not tolerate "long years of work." Like before, people worked all their lives at the same enterprise. It is necessary either to somehow combine something with something over time or to change the sphere. Well, really, you can learn fashionable libs and frameworks all your life, but in the end what? What was it for? And the point here, it seems to me, is not burnout as such. And more importantly, the fact is that the brain is constantly striving to discover something new for itself, and at some point the monitor with the code begins to dissatisfy it. This is the brain of a mentally healthy person, of course ..

or change the scope of activity for a while. engage in some other nonsense. there is a chance that you will understand how cool it was there and come back. or vice versa, you will understand that it was not yours and you will rejoice.
or change the team and the project without leaving the very field of activity.
By the way, personal life influences the attitude to work and success in it. in this regard, is it ok?

I switched from 1s to android - I'm happy as an elephant. I don’t know if it was burnout, but the symptoms were somewhat similar.

There seems to be a physiological reason for this. Try changing your lifestyle, changing your diet, daily routine, habits, or consult a doctor. But maybe just programming is not your thing. You haven't told much about yourself, and the reason lies in you.

Try to take a vacation without pay, go to rest.
Or just look for a new job, for example, after 2-3 years in one place, I got bored.
In recent years, he has been a freelancer.

In May 2019, the World Health Organization classified employee burnout as an occupational phenomenon, although it did not classify it as a medical disease. The WHO describes burnout as a syndrome resulting from chronic workplace stress that cannot be overcome.

Think about what stresses you the most at work? (people, tasks, general atmosphere)
Perhaps you just need to adjust the load?

May help, but not sure - depends on how long you burn out. I had enough for two years, but now I do not work. Try to change your occupation for a while and talk to a good psychotherapist if finances allow.

How old are you anyway? Do you happen to have dementia in the early stages?
"I'm stupid on simple things, I forget that I once knew" - this is alarming.
In general, a radical change in activity should help, it may even be interesting, but whether it will be money is a question.

Find a job where you need to develop a large project that interests you from scratch. The key word is "from scratch". Maximum creativity, no legacy. Of course, there must be an adequate team, salary, management.
Finding such a job is not easy, but it is possible. I have personally found it. You yourself will not notice how you will feel a second wind.
