Can I return a backlit monitor?

I bought an AOC I2790VQ/BT monitor today, at the point of issue there was no system for checking the monitor, at home after a while I noticed dark spots on the sides on a white background. But the fact is that I managed to remove a film with pieces of paper from it, which was glued around the perimeter of the monitor. Therefore, I don’t know if it can be returned as a low-quality product with such highlights? in the photo, of course, they are more noticeable, but still a considerable part of my work is done on a white background, and therefore such spots are not very satisfactory.
