Windows 8 + antivirus = black screen
Hello everyone, I decided to try windows 8, everything would be fine, but after installing the antivirus, I reboot, enter the account password and ... everything, a black screen. tried Avast, Comodo. All are declared compatible with Win 8. Has anyone encountered this? How to decide?

But why do you need an antivirus? The built-in + UAC is enough, unless you download any garbage of obviously dubious quality (although Defender will most likely detect it).

Microsoft's free antivirus Security Essential is built into Windows 8 and is now referred to within the system as Windows Defender . The problem most likely occurs due to an antivirus software conflict. Try disabling Windows Defender if possible. I haven't tried. With the Avira antivirus , the problems you describe do not occur.
Recently encountered such a problem, but only with Symantecom, gave out a blue screen after installation. Unfortunately, it has not been possible to solve it either, although we have a corporate version, and compatibility with windows 8 is also declared.
