Will there be problems after turning on the RODC after it has been turned off for a long time?
Greetings colleagues! There is a network distributed geographically. At least 2 DC are raised in the head. Windows 2008 R2 domain level. In branches RODC Windows Server 2008 R2 are lifted.
In one of the branches on July 25, such a RODC was disabled (as it should have been). Now it needs to be turned back on.
Now the actual question: Will there be problems with replication, will the entire domain fail, will it not be necessary to raise this RODC again? Raising is not a problem, but because it's all remote from the main office, you have to be prepared for trouble. I read that DCs that are full-fledged (not read-only) must be synchronized no later than 60 or 180 days, depending on the version. But I did not find any information in this matter on RODC.

There will be no problems (in any case, the domain will not fall apart, it's a read-only DC), but it can lose the domain, in which case it must be transferred to the domain (it may work to reset the computer account, with the RODC disabled, after which at startup it will change the password in the domain and work, if it doesn’t work, then you may have to demolish and reinstall the RODC role).
