What is the correct way to migrate synced AD users to AzureAD?

Good afternoon.
There is an original Active Directory on-premises: temp.company.com That
is, some accounts are hosted and synchronized with the AzureAD/Office365 cloud (Synced with Active Directory)
There is a new Active Directory where accounts need to be transferred: company.com
Question: how can I transfer user accounts to the new domain and how to do it correctly without losing users in AzureAD?
As I understand it, the only option is to make them trusted and migrate using ADMT?
ldifde - doesn't wrap sid, or doesn't it matter?
Domain controllers are physically in different locations.
