Why is the hard drive spinning up and not being detected?

I got a 500GB hard drive. from a dead laptop. The hard drive itself is intact, connected via sata port and plugged in the power cable. It spins, then stops, and so several times, then calms down. I took off the cap, it looks clean, I didn’t remove the microcircuit, I can’t unscrew the bolts. What can happen to him?

If it spins up and stops, then with a high probability these heads are out of order. It cannot be repaired, if data is needed - carry it to a specialist with equipment and experience.
But since it is also opened, it will also be much more expensive.

Most likely a problem with the controller. But since you have already "removed the lid", then we throw it away.
