Why is the google analytics goal counter not working?

I'm trying to do simple feedback button click tracking with a google analytics target. I did the following:
1. Connected the tracking code that google analytics gave in the head

2. Created the following goal:

3. I hung the following onclick on the required button in the html markup: I poked the button, opened the google analytics report - this event is zero. What have I done wrong?
