Why is advanced power management disabled on ssd?

Hello, laptop on win10pro
I noticed such a feature in hddscan
But it is disabled
Do I understand correctly that if this feature is disabled, then the control settings are transferred to the ahci driver (lpm dipm hipm)
And if it is enabled, then the ahci settings are ignored?
Do I need to turn it on to increase performance (it's also interesting to know for hdd)

This makes sense only for HDDs, where engine operation and especially its spin-up consumes a lot of energy.
