Why does Thunderbird Portable create LocalFolders2 when I plug a flash drive into another computer?

There is a flash drive with a portable version, everything works fine on the computer, all letters are in place in the local folder.
But in a laptop, when you start the program, for some reason it creates another local folder, empty. I have to click on "Account Settings" and there select the path to the old Local Folders folder, and delete the current empty Local Folders2. Then on the computer, after the flash drive has been connected to the laptop, you have to do the same. What could be the problem?
