Why do woocommerce id's of completed orders have a lot of missing digits?

Good afternoon, tell me, do I understand correctly that if I have order numbers
# 217
# 219
# 227
# 231
# 240
# 241
# 261
, then this means that all the missed numbers are abandoned incomplete baskets?
where you can see at least the fact of an attempt to place an order, how to proceed in general in this direction?

that all missed numbers - are there abandoned incomplete baskets?
- No, it doesn't.
To number orders, Woocommerce uses something like a post id (in woocommerce, orders are also posts, just with a special posttype). That is, id is used both in news, and in pages, and in orders.
For example, you may have that No. 217 is an order, No. 218 is you published the news on the site, No. 219 is an order again, and so on.
If you need to store order numbers regardless of post id - look for plugins like woocommerce sequential order numbers .
