Why do we need sublayers if there are just groups?
Heard that for export, is it only for this? I want to have a whole picture in my head. Thanks in advance for your replies.

1) the color of the guides, etc. is different on different layers. Easy to identify.
2) the order of elements and groups can only be changed within the layer. That is, by pressing shift+ctrl+[ or ] you can bring an element to the front or back of the current layer only. Above all layers will not come out. Sometimes it's convenient, sometimes not :)
3) export and blocking is more convenient.
Think of a layer as a more global group.
I suppose if a layer is transferred to another layer, then it becomes a group.
It's kind of like a kind of layer organization.
For example, you can delete a group leaving content, or you can delete a group with content.
With a layer it won’t work like that, you delete the layer, the contents will also be deleted.
I don’t see that it gives any super opportunities)
PS purely thoughts, xs why it was done)
I would start by saying that it happened historically =) at first there were no groups in the chandelier, and then they left it for compatibility (the file format has not changed completely since version 8)
And then for grouping layers (which is through the context menu)
and then, that It would be approximately visible what is depicted on the layer.
Adobe Illustrator layers and sublayers are exported to Adobe Photoshop as Adobe Photoshop groups and subgroups, and Adobe Illustrator groups are exported as layers to Adobe Photoshop.
I would like to get more answers to the question posed. I will choose the best one.
