Why do many web designers expose the monitor's color profile to PS and AI?

Why do many (mostly foreign) designers involved in the web and interfaces in the settings of their graphic editors set the color profile of the monitor and not sRGB? After all, sRGB is the web profile, why don't they work in it?

I recommend asking what a color profile is in general. In short, the profile allows you to take into account the characteristics of a particular device, so that the colors are displayed universally, i.e. just like on other devices.
