Perhaps some application written by very cool guys constantly steals focus. Therefore, in addition to what @IgorO2 advised , you can also try to disable any left software. In my case, this was the TP-Link utility for USB Wi-Fi adapters, which does not understand what it does and it is not clear why it is needed.

Try watching the MPC video in full screen. When an event occurs in which the focus is lost, it will write in the status line: "Focus lost on: xxx" where xxx will be the name of the program that took the focus.
