Why can't my macbook see my flash drive?
Hi, I'm trying to make a bootable flash drive for a mac and reinstall the system clean.
To do this, I do everything according to the standard instructions - I mount the image ( OS_X_El_Capitan_10.11.6_MAS.dmg ), make a flash drive - everything goes without any problems (similar to how, for example, this is done here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= koOofiLERlA)
However, after the reboot, the poppy does not see the flash drive - it suggests that I start from hard.
How to be?
My current system is Mac OS X 10.6.8
What I want to install - as OS_X_El_Capitan_10.11.6_MAS.dmg already indicated above
Or is it not possible? 10.11.6 to 10.6.8 ?????
I've never dealt with poppies before - I'm just starting out so don't judge too harshly.
Thanks

Why install from a flash drive if there is a mod recovery on the poppy and you can reinstall everything over the network?
