How to configure unambiguous macOS Catalina layout switching?

For a long time I sat on the El Capitan hackintosh. I could not switch to a more recent version, iron did not allow. Most of the software has stopped supporting this version of MacOS. In the end, I decided to buy a MacBook. Everything works, except for one very familiar and convenient function for me.

On El Capitan, it was possible to put Karabiner and Seli, which together made it possible to configure unambiguous layout switches. I turned on the Latin alphabet on the left ⌘, and the Cyrillic alphabet on the right. In modern versions of MacOS, there is no Seli at all, and Karabiner has lost this function, well, or I just didn’t find it.

At the moment, I have configured a cyclic switching to CapsLock, but this is not as convenient (for me) as a one-to-one switching.

I'm using Birman's typographic layout. Maybe it's important.

Actually, subject. How to set up unambiguous layout switching on modern versions of MacOS?

I have Kawa + BTT configured with forestach activation in the upper corners of the touchpad (with different touch feedback).
