Why are Russian characters not displayed in the server response?

This is how a string from the array of the standard response of the VK server to a request for a list of videos looks like


Russian characters are displayed correctly

And this is how a string from the array looks like if it is output to the console or to a page



What I just didn’t do, I just can’t understand and fix it so that Russian characters would be displayed correctly . And I changed the encoding of the js-file and tried to slip other headers, nothing helps. I make the request using the fetch() method. Tell me what's the problem?

PS: If this is important, then this is not a VKontakte api, this is a regular request via tampermonkey from the VK page
