Why, after switching from Win 7 32bit to Win 7 64bit, did programs take longer to install and the computer became slower?
Actually, here is the configuration: Motherboard Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H v2 (3 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 2 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR3 DIMM, Audio, Video, Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394), AMD Athlon II X2 250 Processor, 6.0GB RAM, NVIDIA GTS 450.

Measured with a stopwatch, or a purely subjective feeling?
For example, Adobe Master Collection will install both x32 and x64 versions of the program by default, which is naturally longer.
The distribution kit of Office x64 is one and a half times heavier than x32 - it also takes longer to install.
