Which workstation to choose for further work? Dell vs Lenovo?
Hi guys.
For a day now I can not choose a workstation for myself. At the moment, I settled on two manufacturers and several models.
1. Dell Precision m3800
2. Dell Precision m4800
3. Lenovo ThinkPad W540
4. Lenovo ThinkPad W530
The workstation is needed for work: narrow-profile graphic projects, programming in #C, C++, SQL, Objective, Ruby.. HTML, PHP, CSS layout Java. A good monitor is needed, at least 15-inch.
In general, I don’t know yet what steppe I’ll be thrown into, so I want to take something good and for a long time. Also considered the option with a Macbook Pro. But in this regard, I don't even know. It seems that I will overpay for the brand name.
If you have any wishes and advice on this matter, maybe other options regarding workstations or laptops, I will be glad to hear.

Naturally, the answer will always be subjective in such cases. I have never been satisfied with the quality of DELL. He had many years of experience in using DELL products, including a laptop. Now switched to Lenovo and thank God.
In general, HP also make normal cars, I also use Sony. A little pricey, but works great.
A MacBook is also a great choice if you like MacOS. But DELL ... this is no-go for me.
Heh
If you take a macbook not in a rush, then it turns out cheaper than similar models not macbooks.
I also recommend Mac. As for the overpayment for the brand - this is a myth. It's just that the equipment is not made of unpleasant plastic, barely breathing buttons, ever-dirty touchpads, mega-noisy coolers and LEDs that distract from work.
There is definitely no overpayment for the MBP Retina, but it is worth looking for "gray" supplies. For example, I took 15 for 62k instead of 80k in the official store.
