Can a laptop screen be upgraded?
Hello.
Some time ago, the screen of the laptop was damaged and part of the screen is now yellow.
In the repair they said that the new matrix costs 5000 rubles.
I was thinking that since I have to pay for a new screen, is it possible to buy a display with a higher resolution, but the same physical size and install it in place of the broken one?
Notebook Packard Bell TN65
15.6-inch screen 1366x768
But I would like, for example, 1440x900, but it would be ideal in the region of 1680x1050 or more
Is this really possible and how much can it cost?

This is real. It is possible to replace. Another thing is that you need to find an “implant”, and this is much more difficult than transplanting it. With a bit of luck, it might work.
For the price, the work will be a bit more expensive. I carried out a similar operation for my old Samsung q10.
Really, if you find a screen of the right size and interface-compatible connection.
More you can tell the repair company.
Somehow the screen broke on my old laptop (the screen was old 14", but the touchscreen), I couldn’t find the same one, I was given a regular one, but it showed better, in total it turned out $ 100
Faced with the reverse situation.
The owner of a top-end laptop like ASUS Lamborghini or the like. (well, not the point) in the service they offered to stick a matrix of lower resolution, tk. the original piece of iron is very difficult to get and a very long wait.
So I think it's quite real.
Quite realistically, contact a service center, preferably an authorized one, they themselves will order a matrix suitable for your model and install it.
Your question made me think that I need to do the same, otherwise I myself suffer from 1366 * 768 (
The network is full of proposals for replacing matrices, incl. better quality.

The difference is in the type of matrix, as far as I can see.
However, it is most likely impossible to install a matrix with a higher resolution due to the physical difference between the interfaces of the loops / video controller and the matrix.
