There are many of them - XAMPP, Denwer, etc. Which one is better, in terms of - not much occupying the system?

put VirtualBox and some Linux there (Debian for example). Gain useful experience and learn a lot. Any Denwer, etc. stupefy.

I would advise not to beat around the bush and install Ubuntu Desktop OS for you.
