Which router to choose for the house so that you can share the Internet with your neighbors?

I have an Asus with two antennas in Naberezhnye Chelny, but I don’t like it, it’s kind of a maskhev and not an IT-hacker one. I heard about the company Mikrotik , which is so praised by system engineers, but why? In general, I went to the Yandex market and I want to choose a Wi-Fi router for myself, tell me, without external antennas, the signal level will be normal or I need to measure it, and if I buy it, where, and if I buy it and the signal doesn’t keep well, can I exchange the goods back?

I heard about the company Mikrotik, which is so praised by system engineers, but why?

Because in a regular router you are limited by the functions provided by the manufacturer, and in Mikrotik you can do almost everything related to routing and networks. So I needed freedns.afraid.org, I took it and wrote a script and you're done. In a regular router on the official firmware, I could not do that. The only so-called "disadvantage" is that the manufacturer limited himself to the network. That is, no built-in torrent servers, print servers, and so on.
Specifically, in Mikrotike, after reading the manuals, you can share the channel with your neighbors equally, but in a regular router you can, but not so thinly.
The absence of external antennas is an advantage, not a disadvantage. Built-in antennas have attenuation in the wire and connector (pigtail). That is, the first connector on the motherboard + wire + the second connector for an external antenna is all signal attenuation.
Also, in a regular router, you are limited to 100 mW TX power, and in Mikrotik you can increase it to 1000 mW
PS An increase in signal can lead to poor communication, as you will catch your own reflected signal and jam yourself.
Almost any product can be exchanged within 14 days without explanation. Read the laws of your country on consumer rights.
Take this model here - RB951G-2HnD , with gigabit ports.

After replacing the Asus with a Mikrotik, my speed through Wi-Fi at home increased by 5 times, despite the fact that 802.11n remained the same as it was. Well, yes, a lot of settings and flexibility.
Regarding the gigabit port - if you are going to connect via Wi-Fi, and the provider brings 100mb into the apartment, then there is no point in it, you can take a cheaper model.

I use Zyxel Keenetic for the same purpose. Why not Mikrotik? I just don't need a bunch of settings. Bought, installed, forgotten.

I bought myself a mikrotik 951g-2hnd and connected a gigabit movie storage to it. I also set up Queues for dividing traffic, i.e. the channel speed is divided by all active users (my neighbors and I pay in half for the Internet). My Mikrotik breaks through 4 walls (I had to turn it down) without additional antennas
