Which router to choose for the house so that you can share the Internet with your neighbors?
I have an Asus with two antennas in Naberezhnye Chelny, but I don’t like it, it’s kind of a maskhev and not an IT-hacker one. I heard about the company Mikrotik , which is so praised by system engineers, but why? In general, I went to the Yandex market and I want to choose a Wi-Fi router for myself, tell me, without external antennas, the signal level will be normal or I need to measure it, and if I buy it, where, and if I buy it and the signal doesn’t keep well, can I exchange the goods back?

After replacing the Asus with a Mikrotik, my speed through Wi-Fi at home increased by 5 times, despite the fact that 802.11n remained the same as it was. Well, yes, a lot of settings and flexibility.
Regarding the gigabit port - if you are going to connect via Wi-Fi, and the provider brings 100mb into the apartment, then there is no point in it, you can take a cheaper model.
I use Zyxel Keenetic for the same purpose. Why not Mikrotik? I just don't need a bunch of settings. Bought, installed, forgotten.
I bought myself a mikrotik 951g-2hnd and connected a gigabit movie storage to it. I also set up Queues for dividing traffic, i.e. the channel speed is divided by all active users (my neighbors and I pay in half for the Internet). My Mikrotik breaks through 4 walls (I had to turn it down) without additional antennas
