Build a package from source for OpenWRT?
Available:
Router TL-WR1043ND
OpenWRT assembly from Pilot6 for Beeline l2tp - OpenWrt | Attitude Adjustment (r28713)
#uname -a
Linux OpenWrt 2.6.39.4 #1 Tue Nov 15
There are no packages in the build author's repository : kmod-usbip and kmod-usbip-server
Update OpenWRT to kernel 3.7.7.1 (this kernel is now in the trunk ) and to configure a bunch of software again and dance dances with a beeline is terribly reluctant.
Help build from source or get ipk for kernel 2.6.39.4-1 somewhere .
I would be very grateful if someone collects ipk-packages or gives a link to rap.
And it’s even better to explain on the fingers with an example how easy it is to do it under ubuntu or directly on the router, tk. the official instruction for the non-coder is rather cryptic.
There is a relatively accessible explanation of how to compile the entire firmware, but nothing like this for individual packages.
IMHO a good reason to write a good article in a profile blog.

In short, you build a toolchain (gcc, binutils, ..) for mips or download a ready-made one and collect all the necessary packages in it.
Everything is written in off-docs and various wikis. There are quite a few steps and the first time you have to figure it out, but then everything is easy to do when ready and the packages are assembled by a couple of commands. To get exactly the version of the environment that you have on your router, you need to find the revision number and check it out from the svn, not HEAD. How to compile individual packages is written further in the ixbt thread, but kmod-usbip and kmod-usbip-server are probably going together with the main firmware, because. kernel modules, or they must be selected in make menuconfig.
