Which one is better to take. monitor for macbook pro 2012 a1278?

Hello everyone)
Guys, tell me please, what is the best additional monitor to take?

I have a 13" macbook, i5 processor, I expanded my RAM to 16 GB, I work quite well somehow, of course I constantly have to switch between applications or desktops, but the other day I worked on a simple laptop with an additional monitor, I liked it)

From the specification of my macbook realized that the maximum it can pull is an additional 2560 x 1600 monitor, and I’m sitting now thinking about what will be the norm, so that the picture is good and preferably wide enough so that you can put 2 windows side by side, a browser with a bunch of tabs, yes IDE.

And what will happen to the picture and the poppy if you pick up a monitor that supports a higher resolution?

Thank you in advance for your answers)

@Lobanov

So take any 27" 2560x1440 as long as your budget allows, there are a lot of options.

Cyril , charge your poppy to full, take it under your arm with a video cable (in your case it is mDP-HDMI), go to any NORMAL computer equipment store, look at the monitors and ask the consultant to connect your poppy so that you can determine if it is suitable this or that monitor to your tasks and your poppy. In good stores, consultants will not refuse you this request, as long as you buy a monitor and are satisfied with your purchase.
Monitors, pixel density, etc. is a very subjective choice. Everyone chooses for themselves. Therefore, you need to look in person, and not stupidly order on the Internet.
Someone needs an inexpensive TN/IPS monitor with 72% NTSC color gamut and an 8-bit matrix in 6-bit + FRC format, and someone (for example, me) needs a high-quality 10-bit (true 10 bit without FRC) VA -Matrix with 95%+ DCI-P3, 100% sRGB, 90%+ AdobeRGB and 95%+ NTSC color gamut.
Someone needs UHD at 24 "(I know a couple of them), but for me 24" was enough for QHD, and for 27/32 "UHD is already needed.
