Which laptop to take for web development + IS?

Hello!
Now I'm working on MF839 (13", i5, 8gb, 128gb) and I'm starting to miss it. Dual-boot can't be rolled, workflow with webstorm started to produce bad brakes, especially in large projects, so I thought about buying a new car.
Budget is about 2k.
In addition to the front-end, I plan to try myself in information security. I will use a laptop to go to work, work at home, etc. There is no other machine (PC).
I think to take either MPTT2 (15", i7, 16gb, 4gb + integr., 512), or take something good and powerful on Windows, for example, such a laptop "mom, only for study and school". The lack of ports, the problematic keyboard, and the general decline of Apple (IMHO) confuse the Mac. I read in MSI that they quickly go to waste due to overheating and poor optimization. Also, Apple is embarrassed by the fact that for information security you will have to install Kali Linux, but he is not friendly with command and it will be more difficult to work with the keyboard.
What do you advise? Perhaps there are some other worthy options?
Thanks
UPD: Thank you all, I took MPTT2!

MSI gaming laptops are a great choice. 4 have already passed through me.
Everything is fine with cooling (except for the thin GS series).
And if you need a budget laptop, then I advise Dell Inspiron 7577 (i7 7700HQ, 16Gb RAM, expandable up to 32, Nvidia 1050, there is an SSD, the price is less than a thousand euros).

Macbook if for work. The console out of the box is quite convenient.
But the problem with the buttons is really there.

In the latest trends, for some reason, they began to bring the power button inside the keyboard, even in expensive models, and the "normal" digital block - in general units. Asus - at least fights a lot for the "brand", much less than his "comrades" from Apple. In terms of a very long life - in my experience, only asus.

web development + IS?

All devices with processors older than 2008 definitely have bookmarks / backdoors. There are projects that allow you to protect yourself a little from them, for example, https://libreboot.org/ or https://www.coreboot.org/
This, roughly speaking, is a bios replacement for an alternative opensource version, but you need to flash through the programmer, because e. have straight arms, equipment and there is a huge risk of making a brick out of a laptop. These sites have a list of supported devices.
In general, if you fool around, then probably the best option would be the thinkpad x200 (hard to find), otherwise any used laptop (new ones are not produced) from the thinkpad line (T. P or X) version would be the best, in my opinion, the choice, provided that at least some Linux is used (but even hardened gentoo is not a panacea).
You can read the cap for two , there are different tips on how to choose a laptop, order it.
but, it is worth considering that telemetry is everywhere, in software, browser, even in the OS kernel, in device elements, there are all sorts of SORM and other crap.
I would strongly discourage being on the dark side of the force.

I use a MacBook Pro 15 years old, an excellent device. If you take it in the top configuration, then it will be enough not only for web development, but also for video editing)

I use Dell Latitude 5480 (i5-7440HQ, 32GB, 930MX), I'm happy as an elephant.
there were two problems:
- the keyboard (the tactile joystick worked slower in one direction, and the additional mouse keys sank)
- a squeak from the case (under load, a squeak came from the case at different frequencies)
contacted the support service, explained, accepted the application, took the data.
result:
- after 4 days, an engineer came home (St. Petersburg)
- in 40 minutes he replaced the motherboard and keyboard unit
- left
the engineer and found out that his neighbor in the office is engaged in MSI and swears like a shoemaker when repairing another laptop.
from myself about MSI: I had to help a person with a minor repair of a GE70 laptop, in order to completely disassemble it, I had to remove the cooling system, there was one screw under the tubes, the keyboard from the factory was glued to a double-sided adhesive tape of very good quality, the keyboard was removed with a three-story mat.

Look towards Xiaomi laptops. They are strong, thin and comfortable. For the price for which they are blown, you are unlikely to find something better.

MSI are not bad, but you need to take it on an SSD or change your native HDD to a solid state one. The fact that they put naked HDDs in their laptops is no longer a secret to anyone.

I recommend taking a closer look at Clevo-based configurations on HIDevolution or Eurocom. Pros: Large selection of configurations, easy access to laptop components.
A fresh Eurocom Q6 fits into your budget (and most likely other laptops of a similar configuration), in stock: 6 cores i7-8750H, GeForce GTX 1070 8GB DDR5, 15.6 IPS screen, 16 GB DDR 4, many interfaces, weight a little less than 2 kg, thickness slightly less than 2 cm.
