Which Imac should a web developer take 21.5 or 27?

Good day to all!
I work remotely. I've been on a MacBook for a long time.
The need to be mobile has long disappeared, so I decided to take imac.
But I just don’t know whether to take 21.5 or 27.
I use programs: php storm, Skype, chrome with a debugger, iterm, a bunch of console tools.
I mainly work with the backend.
At 21.5, it attracts minimalism, compactness compared to the 27th model, and a resolution of 1920x1080 that is comfortable for webdev.
I almost ordered 21.5, but then a friend (videographer) appeared who worked a lot on both and says that 21.5 is "nothing", "money down the drain", "don't take it - you'll regret it."
Interested in the opinion of developers who worked both there and there. Does the work on the 27 model give an advantage and comfort? Is it really worth taking exactly 2?

It's better to take a new macmini, put more RAM there and take 2 monitors. If you work with a backend, then it makes no sense to overpay for a 5k monitor
