Should I remove the blade drive from the imac when replacing the fusion drive?

Good day to all!
I bought an imac 27, specially took the fd 1tb + 8gb ram package to upgrade the hardware on my own.
There are no problems with ram, but it's not entirely clear about replacing fd. I will install 2.5 sata ssd in imac, do I need to remove the blade drive inserted on the back of the motherboard? Without this operation, the upgrade is much easier (removed the glass, replaced the hard drive).
