Do you experience afterglow on Retina 5K sensors?
Hello!
The problem is the following: recently bought a used iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014). First of all, I updated the OS to the latest Catalina 10.15.1 (19B88). And, it seems, after the update, the first charms of IPS matrices began to appear - afterglow (ghosts, afterimage). Judging by the materials on the Internet, this is normal and many do not even worry about this. But I don’t understand why I never noticed this on other devices with an IPS matrix?
On my iMac, such an unpleasant effect occurs almost immediately (you don’t even need to keep the window open for a minute). I suspect that I have a matrix from LG (I can’t check through the Terminal - not a single command works) and this is the whole problem.
Actually a question for iMac owners with Retina displays (especially for newer models) - do you also have traces of windows?

Not the owner, but the user.
No, they don't, it's a malfunction.
