Which CPU to choose for a self-assembly NAS?
I wanted to build a NAS on x86 CPU. As an OS, I chose Xpenology, possibly FreeNAS. There is access only to boards with integrated gems on Celeron J1800, Celeron J1900, Celeron J3060, AMD E2-3800, AMD PRO A4-3350B APU, AMD A4-5100 APU. Which one is best for NAS?

I would take the Celeron J3060 purely because of the power consumption
, in fact, the requirements for us are quite simple good mother with 2 gigabit ports and hardware acceleration. Sufficient number of sata ports. hardware raid (then you need an analogue of ilo ) or software raid.
You can take any processor. Everyone in your sample can handle 1Gb ethernet at connection speed.
If you want to use a VPN, then choose a CPU with a large number of threads / cores. If you are in torrents - with greater frequency.
And yes, do not use a hardware raid, only a software one!
