Monitoring
Ravenenok, 2016-01-14 13:14:56

Which approach to choose?

There was a task to organize monitoring of interaction of applications.
There are about 30 different systems that interact with each other in various ways. Each interaction leaves a record in the database, simplified: interaction ID, 0/1 success flag.
The customer wants to see the map and interaction status in real time on a large plasma, i.e. a diagram will be displayed on the screen and in case of an error, the line of interaction between the 2 systems and the schematic designation of the systems themselves should flash red.
There are many such visualizations for network devices, but nothing comes to mind for applications, and I don’t want to fence the bike.
Can anyone come across?

What is monitoring? I solved a similar problem myself. Zabbix includes a "Map of networks".
So I had the task of monitoring web services. and each service was displayed in the form of graphic elements on the network map. in case of problems, the element and the link were highlighted.
It turned out something like s57.radikal.ru/i156/1104/63/ce797b6d311d.jpg
The picture is not mine, now there is no way to make a screen.
Zabbix can monitor the database down to records in tables. also graphically represent your interaction map.
