What are traffic monitoring graphs?

I often meet on the Internet, on the topic of DDoS attacks, they show various graphs (visual) not from a terminal like iptraf.
These graphs clearly show jumps, falls, pps/ min/max /packet/error errors, and even sometimes shows weight by country ( from which countries how much traffic is coming) and IPs with the number of poisoned packets ..
What kind of graphs are these? How to find and install them for monitoring?
