Where to get the first clients?
The question is already hackneyed in a big way, but the opinion of the local inhabitants is still interesting.
Suppose there is an opportunity to open your own "office" for the development of sites. Where to get clients? How to enter the market?
It goes without saying that a person who opens a business must be experienced in this area. Let's say he even worked in it for several years (in the office for his uncle), but he didn't communicate much with clients, so he didn't develop a personal client base. How to be?

I had such a "desk" context and in general do not give graphic advertising on the network - everyone clicks nafig. No one orders a site now by googling "Make a site in Uryupinsk" everyone goes to friends and acquaintances of friends - this is your channel. I got 90% of my clients through it.
Distribute free consultations on VK and on other sites where entrepreneurs (but not IT people hang out) can make a simple site for free and earn money on promotion.
Before the studio, I also worked in another area, and just from this "another area, one order also came."
I did not look for freelance orders.
And in general, in fact, it is easy to find clients, it is hard to work with them later)))

You can write to other studios, many of them have work that they outsource or are ready to just give a lead, sometimes even without conditions, because either it’s not quite specialized or, at the moment, they don’t have their own resources.
Let's say a studio writes in Yii, Django and express.js, and often clients use Symfony, Bitrix and Drupal.
Or the price category is not the same. Someone does not make boxed cheap sites, and someone, on the contrary, does not make expensive individual solutions, but everyone is periodically contacted with both. Someone does not support other people's projects. Someone does not keep their layout designers, but outsources the layout.
I imagined - I already have a ready-made desk, I already have a client base ... But what's the point of them? They already have ready-made sites for their business cards, shops, etc...
What should I do? You have to advertise!
To be honest, I did not read the text of the question, but I will tell one story. I was just getting started and learning the basics. I got a job as a courier in a travel agency. There was a perky person who asked me what I do besides this super job. I answered him. He immediately began to tell me that he was going to organize the service himself and that my help would be useful to him. It’s a pity I didn’t have sufficient knowledge at that time and was generally modest. If I had given him clear numbers, then perhaps I would have received the amount. That person was, of course, a little unclear and clearly did not really understand the scale of what he had in mind and how much money would have to be poured into it. Therefore, it would hardly have reached the logical finale.
In the future, I periodically came across such people. Many have their own ideas, plans and dreams. There are really many such people. And they are ready to invest in it. It is a pity that many of them do not quite understand how much they will have to invest.
The essence of this is that if you just want to make money without thinking that it will not reach the working copy, then you will definitely meet people who will pay. Only a few of them run headlong and are really looking for investors and financial investments to make the project come to life. The good news is that there are quite a lot of such units.
Freelance.
From freelancing if you did a normal job. That customers will be permanent.
Further, word of mouth will already work for you.
In short, get to work.
At least for free.
But start, customers will appear.
Trite - freelancing, where you can find regular customers, especially without even trying. Ideally, spread information through acquaintances, and even better, make someone a good site, in this case there is the possibility of word of mouth.
Become partners for people from related fields - you have directologists and promoters
