When will Apple's desktop processors come out and is it worth taking the MacBook Pro 2018?

In recent years, intel has experienced setbacks , against this background, Apple decided to ditch the intel processors in the future.
Also, rumors have been developing for a long time that Apple itself will produce desktop processors. Moreover, they already know how to 7nm, and the iPad Pro with A12X is on par or even outperforms the MacBook Pro 2018 with i7.

So, the question before me is: should I take the MacBook Pro 2018 now (upgrading from the MacBook Pro Early 2015) and will it turn into a pumpkin when Apple introduces its own processors for the MacBook, which will be much faster? Or should we wait for the new MacBooks?

spoiler
It seems that the issue with different command set architectures for iOS and mac OS remains open, but Apple has enough funds and resources to be able to solve it.

whether to take a MacBook 2018 now and whether it will turn into a pumpkin

Do not take.
Wait another 100 years for Apple to come up with something new. And he'll come up with more. And he'll come up with more. And there your dilemma will be solved by itself: either you die or Apple goes bankrupt.
Buying computer hardware is not an investment. It starts to become cheaper immediately after purchase and becomes cheaper constantly over time. Whatever you buy.

So there is not even a prototype laptop on the network .... It's not clear what will happen there. How can you answer that?)) If you need to work now, buy it. If in 3-4 years then wait.
I have a second Mac and everything suits me. And in general, I don’t care what percentage there is, everything works well for me.
What is a laptop for? Describe the problem...

well, it will come out, then the question will be "isn't it risky to take from the first batch? can wait" so "(tick-tock)?". If finances allow, then you can update every three to five years, if more often it's hard. But again, from the tasks, I'm still comfortable on the hardware 6 years ago
