After all, now web designers are like dirt, every second person knows how to draw and owns html / css. There seems to be work on the stock exchanges, but that's all today. And what will happen tomorrow is unknown.
It turns out that there is nowhere else to grow except to draw even more beautiful pictures. Or am I wrong?

But he knows his worth.

This is my personal opinion:
- A good designer, firstly, is fluent in html/css/js.
- Secondly, he is able to prepare and process graphic and video material. It is not necessary to draw like Aivazovsky, but retouching, color correction, cropping should be done with a bang, and besides, be able to work with a vector.
- Thirdly, he knows the academic course of drawing very well (namely, the theory) and has a trained eye (he knows how to find errors in graphic material).
- Fourthly, a good designer must know the theory of photography and have a trained eye (similar to drawing).
- Fifthly, he knows the theory of preparation of printing materials. This is important because includes work with fonts and text.

As you can see, if you are not a well-known designer, you don’t move in the right circles, you don’t have an uncle who will give you a government order, and you are a simple honest worker, then your ceiling is 100k per month + annual inflation adjustment ... and this is with the current the level of technologies that develop, become simpler, become more and more intuitive... you know what I'm getting at?)
To get 200k a month, it's not enough to be a designer. You may be able to get such an amount once or twice, even once, but there is no need to talk about stability.
If you want a consistently high income - negotiate a share in the project, a percentage of turnover, etc. Find yourself a friend, let's say an optimizer, and sell yourself together.
Here now many will argue, disagree - their right, but understand that a salary of 200 thousand is not very big money, which can greatly relax. Having received such a salary somewhere, you will fall into a trap when you cannot go anywhere because there will be a fear of losing in the bubble ... this is very humiliating)
200k should not be a salary and not a percentage of sales, it should be income from turnover.
