What to do if FPS drops in games when connecting an external monitor to a laptop?

Hello ! Who can tell me, I'm playing on a laptop (i7 9th, gtx 1660 ti 6gb, 16gb), while I'm sitting from a laptop, the fps in games is 100 higher, but when connected to an external monitor (samsumg 3440 x 1440. 100 Hz), the fps drops to 60 and below . I climbed all the settings and changed everywhere to 100 Hz, when connected, the 1660 ti video card works. What to do in this case?
